The Who - Shakin' All Over (Live at Leeds)

Quite the effort at pretty close to 120db for this cover. It will clear some cobwebs.

White Witch - Don't Close Your Mind (sound advice)

Another past blaster. Fun album that was the soundtrack of my misspent youth. Or was it misspent?

Don't close your mind
There are places yet to be found
In space and time
Places where there are no limits or bounds

Happiness beyond your fondest dreams
Trivial moves, or so they seem
Make your fate, come weave the screen
Ooh-la la-la la-la
Don’t close your mind
Don't close your mind

A life where giants seem so small
A life where midgets can be tall
A life where you can have your all

Don't close your mind
Thеre are places yеt to be found
In space and time
Places where there are no limits or bounds

Happiness beyond your fondest dreams
Trivial moves, or so they seem
Make your fate, come weave the screen
Ooh-la la-la la-la
(Don’t close your mind) Don't close your mind
(Don't close your mind) Don't close your mind
(Don't close your mind)

A life where giants seem so small
A life where midgets can be tall
A life where you can have your all
I love you

Don't close your mind
There are places yet to be found
In space and time
Places where there are no limits or bounds

Don't close your mind
There are places yet to be found
In space and time
Places where there are no limits or bounds

Happiness beyond your fondest dreams
Trivial moves, or so they seem
Make your fate, come weave the screen
Ooh-la la-la oooh
(Don't close your mind) Don’t close your mind
(Don’t close your mind) Don't close your mind
(Don’t close your mind)

A life where giants seem so small
A life where midgets can be tall
A life where you can have your all

Close your mind, close your mind

REO Speedwagon - Anti-Establishment Man

Standing by the roadside
Old newspaper in my hand
Reading yesterday's headlines
Nothing new, I said it's all the same
Everywhere!
I'm the fool of the year and I've been waiting
Twenty five years of anticipating
I've seen changes in my land

People I'm here to tell you
I've been around since the world began
Well, mr. politician, reform me if you can
I'm an anti-establishment man

I'm tired of your treating
All of my children the same
Everywhere!
Spending all that money
On a stupid war in vietnam
(when we need it at home)

People I'm here to tell you
I think it's 'bout time that the world began (all over!)
Well, mr. politician, reform me if you can
I'm an anti-establishment man

Grand Funk Railroad - Mean Mistreater (live 1970)

A deeper dive for an old classic. Good sing-a-long. This live version seems better that the studio one.

Red Willow Band - Leftover Blues (country swing)

A fun country swing band from my youth. They were very popular around the upper plains states for a long time. I believe the fiddle player , Kenny Putnam, and guitar player, Chris Gage, played and toured with Roy Clark for a time. Enjoy.

J. Geils Band - (Ain't Nothing But A) House Party

Fun rocking party song from back in the day.

They're dancin' on the ceilin'
They're dancing' on the floor
People everywhere comin' through the door
They know there's a party goin' on
Do the dancin' romance all night long
I know it's cold outside
C'mon baby, I'll keep you satisfied
All you gotta do is move
Every time you feel that groove
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a houseparty
C'mon baby, dig that crazy soul
I know you're gonna lost control
You can do boogaloo
Anything that you want to
I know it's cold outside
C'mon baby, I'll keep you satisfied
All you gotta do is move
Every time you feel that groove
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a houseparty
I know it's cold outside
C'mon baby, I'll keep you satisfied
All you gotta do is move
Every time you feel that groove
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a party
Ain't nothing' but a houseparty
I said move it, groove it
Baby, don't you lose it
I said roll it, stroll it
Baby, don't control it
It ain't nothin' but a party
Ain't nothin' but a party
Ain't nothin' but a party
Ain't nothin' but a houseparty
Yeah, tell me 'bout the party
I got to know about the party
Yeah
Tell me 'bout the party

Grateful Dead - Ship Of Fools (nice Jerry one)

Mars Hotel is a fun album. This is for the Jerry fan in all of us.

Went to see the captain
Strangest I could find
Laid my proposition down
Laid it on the line
I won't slave for beggar's pay
Likewise gold and jewels
But I would slave to learn the way
To sink your ship of fools
Ship of fools
On a cruel sea
Ship of fools
Sail away from me
It was later than I thought
When I first believed you
Now I cannot share your laughter
Ship of fools
Saw your first ship sink and drown
From rockin' of the boat
And all that could not sink or swim
Was just left there to float
I won't leave you drifting down
But whoa, it makes me wild
With 30 years upon my head
To have you call me child
Ship of fools
On a cruel sea
Ship of fools
Sail away from me
It was later than I thought
When I first believed you
Now I cannot share your laughter
Ship of fools
The bottles stand as empty
As they were filled before
Time that was in plenty
But from that cup no more
Though I could not caution all
I still might warn a few
Don't lend your hand to raise no flag
Atop no ship of fools
Ship of fools
On a cruel sea
Ship of fools
Sail away from me
It was later than I thought
When I first believed you
Now I cannot share your laughter
Ship of fools
It was later than I thought
When I first believed you
Now I cannot share your laughter
Ship of fools

Yes - South Side Of The Sky (live + studio)

Great tune off Fragile. The duel between Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe on the outro is nothing less than epic. It was tough to pick the first one to post. The studio version is amazing with a better tempo. Also , Bill Bruford on drums. Crazy good. Hard to believe they are 30 years apart. Listen to both for a real treat.

A river a mountain to be crossed
The sunshine in mountains sometimes lost
Around the south side so cold that we cried
Were we ever colder on that day
A million miles away
It seemed from all eternity
Move forward was my friend's only cry
In deeper to somewhere we could lie
And rest for the the day with cold in the way
Were we ever colder on that day
A million miles away
It seemed from all eternity
The moments seemed lost in all the noise
A snow storm a stimulating voice
Of warmth of the sky of warmth when you die
Were we ever warmer on that day
A million Miles away
We seemed from all eternity
La la la la la la, la la la la la la la la
The moments seemed lost in all the noise
A snow storm a stimulating voice
Of warmth of the sky of warmth when you die
Were we ever warmer on that day
A million Miles away
We seemed from all eternity
The sunshine in mountains sometimes lost
The river can disregard the cost
And melt in the sky warmth when you die
Were we ever warmer on that day a million miles away
We seemed from all of eternity
